May 22. Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Special Recognition Award recipients for the Class of 2015. The recipients are Victory Lampert, Elizabeth Gabrek and Mark Gomez.
This award is a one time scholarship of $2500 for college tuition.
Kelli Joy O’Laughlin’s spirit is with us every day, but today, in particular, she is on our minds and in our hearts.
There is no class like yours, when we’re talking about Kelli’s life and legacy. You are her class, and you will carry her in your hearts and minds with you in your future beyond these doors at LT.
As you are honored here today for your accomplishments and achievements, we want you to know that Kelli’s Family likewise 
will always keep you in our hearts. You were with us in the darkest of times during your freshman year and you’ve supported us every step of the way since.
Much of that work has been in the creation and sustaining work of the foundation in your classmate’s name. Thanks to funds that were raised in large part to your efforts – whether you started selling bracelets to raise money, organized a concert or car wash or just bought t-shirts, bracelets or anything else in support – you have helped us establish a legacy for our daughter through the Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation. You have no idea how much this means to the family and, importantly, to the many young men and women and children who benefit from it.
Today, we’re honoring young men and women who have been instrumental in the foundation. Over the past three and a half years, they have been nothing short of remarkable in working to share Kelli’s infectious spirt of helping others – and with a smile.
This year the Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation would like to
honor even more of Kelli’s classmates who have shown dedication to others in a way that reflects who she was and in improving the world around them.
We congratulate Victoria Lambert and Mark Gomez.
The foundation also wishes to recognize Liz Gabrek for her inspirational fight to return to good health. This sudden condition effected the team, the community and most of all her family and friends. Her return to school and her return to the soccer team to cheer on her team mates is an inspiration to all of us.
