Gurrie Middle School in La Grange held a fundraiser Thursday, March 6, 2014 to benefit the Kelli O’Laughlin Memorial Fund during a girls volleyball game against visitors from Park Junior High School in LaGrange Park.
Raffle tickets and T-shirts were sold during a “pack the place (in) purple” event from at the school. Raffle tickets were $1 to win an assortment of gift cards. T-shirts sell for $12 and bracelets cost $3.
After all proceeds were counted this event raised $850 for Kelli’s fund. Thanks to the coaches, staff and administration of Gurrie Middle School who all made this possible. A special thanks to Ms Gale Tlapa for working with the school to make this happen for the 3rd year in a row.
