About the Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation

The Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation was established by Kelli’s family to honor her memory and carry forward the love, kindness, and joy she brought into the world. Kelli was a bright, compassionate freshman at Lyons Township High School and a member of the Class of 2015 when her life was tragically taken during a home burglary.

In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, Kelli’s family, friends, and the broader community united to create a lasting legacy—one that reflects her generous spirit and supports young people in realizing their full potential.

The Foundation’s mission is to provide meaningful opportunities for youth to grow as compassionate leaders, confident individuals, and lifelong learners. Through college scholarships and other charitable initiatives, the Foundation empowers young people to pursue their dreams, nurture friendships, and carry forward the values Kelli lived by—kindness, empathy, and courage.

Together, we remember Kelli not only for the joy she brought to those around her, but for the light that continues to shine through the lives we touch in her name.
